Twinned with Belo Horizonte
6 of 12 in this atlas
Belo Horizonte's declared partnerships span four continents, from Chicago and Lisbon to Lagos, Minsk, Quito, and Tripoli. Most of these pairings are mutual, with both sides naming each other, though the tie to Lisbon is claimed only by Belo Horizonte and goes unreturned. Together the list shows a city with formal links across the Americas, Africa, and Europe, without any single region dominating.
