Strung along the tenth parallel south, these cities span three continents and the Pacific, from Chimbote on the Peruvian coast eastward through the Brazilian interior, across Angola and into central Africa, then on to Papua New Guinea and Honiara. Where figures are given, temperatures stay warm year-round with only mild seasonal difference, consistent with the shared low-latitude sun angle despite the wide spread of longitude and terrain.
