Twinned with Fukuoka

5 of 8 in this atlas

Fukuoka maintains formal ties with five municipalities across four continents: Auckland, Bangkok, Busan, Guangzhou, and Lagos. Each of these pairings is mutual, meaning both sides name the other in return, unlike arrangements elsewhere that go unreciprocated. The spread runs from Oceania through Southeast and East Asia to West Africa, without concentration in any single region.
